Saturday March 15th 2003 and the venue was Santa Fe. Who would have thought that by going to a ‘Singles Do’ we would actually end up meeting each others soul mate – come on who really does! We nearly didn’t go for various reasons but both of our close friends convinced us that it would at least be a laugh.
That night Hiten and Nik walked in late as usual (“it’s nice to make an entrance!”), to meet Ash and Arti. When Hiten saw Kalpa sitting there his first thoughts were that Arti had brought one of her foreign exchange students with her! During that evening Kalpa & Hiten enjoyed getting to know each other and were both impressed with each others witty humour. Later that night Hiten asked Kalpa for her number, he thought he was blown out when she replied "I don't know it"...this was her witty test to see his reaction! Hiten had the last laugh when Kalpa asked him to come to a club after and he replied only if you can convince Nik…before the next second passed Kalpa was grovelling to Nik trying to convince him...1-0 Mr Shah!
It was honestly a night to remember and we have to say that the £12 tickets were definitely worth every penny and more! It’s a tradition now to go back to Santa Fe on our anniversary. We love to reminisce and re-live the night. We highly recommend a visit to Santa Fe – the food is just lush and the chocolate deserts are to die for.
